Stressful Days
For some strange reason…
Mondays are the worst day of the week for me. My blood pressure seems higher and my stress levels are always higher too. Monday’s always seem to drag on as the longest day of the week too. It seems like everyone at work forget where projects are. Too many people scramble around trying to figure out what’s going on. Consequently the environment has a high stress level.
It doesn’t seem to matter if I take Monday off either. Tuesday just fills the gap and becomes the highest stress day for that week. Does everyone forget what is going on after every weekend? Why do things in life have to be so filled with stress? Why is the first day of the week the worst of the bunch?
Work Stress is my answer here
Many of us seem to be stuck in jobs we really don’t enjoy. This surely adds to the overall stress levels in our lives. Getting stressed out over little things adds up. Working at the same job or career for many years takes it’s toll on your enthusiasm. Stress comes at us from all sides, sometimes we don’t even know it’s there. Stress has been called the silent killer and rightly so. If we don’t enjoy our career anymore, are we slowly killing ourselves with all the added stress of doing something we no longer want to do?
Mix things up for stress relief
Mixing up your routine can have a profound effect on stress levels. Stress relief is not that hard when you first understand that stress is affecting you to begin with. There are easy methods to relieve stress when work gets under your skin. Don’t fall into the trap of a routine life, mix it up.
Take a walk in the park
Some light exercise or music helps relieve stress too. Play some games with your children or grand children. Use your imagination to come up with new activities specifically to reduce stress and clear your mind. You’ll be glad you did and be better able to keep your stress levels lower. Then maybe the job won’t be such a drain on your energy levels.
